I love family pics but I don’t like the clutter of little frames everywhere. The washroom is a great place to share your family pictures; captive audience and all.
I decided to make my own wall-to-wall picture ledges using cheap old pine and the magic of mixed wood stains.

I don’t know about you, but I often find myself visiting friends or neighbours’ homes and wishing that I had something a little more interesting than wine to offer as a hostess gift. Don’t get me wrong – wine is a wonderful gift. But it’s sometimes nice to show up with something a little different. And who doesn’t love receiving something sweet (and oh so pretty)?
Although it’s great in cocktails, over ice cream, and with summer berries, vanilla-infused simple syrup also pairs nicely with hot cocoa, coffee and pancakes so this is also a lovely gift leading into Fall and the holidays beyond. Just change up your labels to something festive and you’re set!

We’ve got our first wobbly tooth in our house. Now, when I say wobbly, it is only ever so slightly wobbly, but my son is proud nonetheless. I think we are a few weeks away from it actually falling out for good, but he can’t wait to join his peers in the toothless club.
