Having completed the trailer bathroom, it was time to tackle the bedroom. I was determined to use the brand new, but uuuuuugly nightstands. It is amazing what can be done with a vision, some paint, a vintage handle and a box of old wooden shims (see also my sidetable post using the same old shims). Pokemon cards, LEGO pieces, Star Wars characters, Beanie Boos, games, mini cars….the list goes on and on!!! These were the toys that my son would leave littered all over the floor every single day. And these were the toys that I would PICK UP every single day! They needed a home, so I decided to make one! I liked the look of crates and found a few options in local stores, but I could build the same thing for a fraction of the cost, so I did!

My 8 year old daughter was “dying” for a Barbie house. She has had two different ones over the years, but they were not great quality and didn’t last long. I decided to make a sturdy wooden Barbie house that we can keep and hopefully pass on to other kids in our family.
