Pressed Wildflowers
We’re fortunate to spend many weekends out of the city, and lately I’ve been swooning over the gorgeous wildflowers growing up along the side of the quiet country roads. On a recent walk, my daughter and I gathered some especially beautiful samples to press and save.

Promotional Bunting
With one of my other endeavours, The Westside’s Story, I hosted a Day Camp Fair a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for something really dynamic to go in the window as promotion for the event. And then I thought, why not get crafty? So I whipped up some basic, construction paper bunting. This is so easy, and can be used for a myriad of occasions, including birthdays, celebrations, and personal declarations for Valentine’s Day (e.g. I LOVE [lover’s name here] displayed prominently in your front window to embarrass your spouse)!

Lucky Pinata!
I love a pinata! I find the store-bought ones are made of hard cardboard, they’re difficult to bust open, and they’re just no fun! If you have a few minutes a couple of days, they’re very simple to make and you’re left with a feeling of artistic accomplishment. For my son’s game-themed birthday this year, I decided to roll the dice and create this pinata.
