DIY Canada Day T-Shirts

This spring we took the kids on a family vacation to Paris. While on this trip we did a scavenger hunt at the Louvre where we competed against other families. So I designed us some team uniforms. But they are easily adaptable for Canada day.

As a graphic designer I realize that this may come more easily to me than to you. But don’t fret if you have Illustrator or know someone who does. I found this easy to follow step by step guide to make a distressed vintage looking logo curtesy of The Web Design Library.
After you have designed your logo you can either screen print your t-shirts (please see my previous post here), or in a pinch have your logo vinyl cut and applied to your t-shirt. I ran out of time and ended up using The T-Shirt Guys in Leslieville, who were amazing. They had a great selection of t-shirts to choose from (for adults). I purchased the kids t-shirts at American Apparel. Keep in mind if you are going the vinyl route the distressing will be more difficult to achieve. Or if your logo is contained in a shape you can do it through custom iron-on decals (please see my previous post here).
