Festive Wooden Garland

I was recently inspired to make my own wooden garland (which means, I saw one in a store and thought to myself “hey, I can just make that”). I enlisted the help of my super-handy sister and her saw and drills. A few hours later we both had festive garlands to add to our holiday decor. This would also make a great gift!

Step 1: Gather up some tree branches (or buy some at a local greenhouse).
Step 2: Saw into 1/2 inch pieces (or get someone handy to do so for you).
Step 3: Gather up your paint and stencilling supplies as well as some jute twine and thin wire.
Step 4: Drill teeny, tiny holes into each piece of wood.
Step 5: Using a stencilling brush, paint your letters onto each piece of wood. We both chose to go with the traditional “Merry Christmas,” but the options are endless (this could be super cute used for a wedding or party).
Step 6: cut your wire into 5-inch pieces. Thread through each letter.
Step 7: Attach to twine. Dana and I both experimented with this before we came up with a “twisty” solution that worked well. Trim any access wire.
Step 8: Hang up your new garland!
This is so beautiful! I love these types of garland ❤
this is really great!
