This beautiful — and super sturdy — sandbox is a great addition to any backyard or cottage. The designer of this “cadillac of sandboxes,” the amazing Carla of Small + Friendly, has shared the instructions on her blog so any handy DIY mom or dad can build the same awesome sandbox for their own back yard.

With a hinged, retractable lid-turned-deck, as well as plenty of space for a few kids to build and dig, this sandbox easily buys you more time to sip a beverage or read a magazine while the kids play.

Wooden Wall Art

I am in the process of putting together wall galleries for both my sons’ rooms. I wanted something homemade to go with the collection of framed art that I am using, so I decided to make a simple piece of initial art from a thin wood board.

DIY Chalkboard

Bookcase Crates

Pokemon cards, LEGO pieces, Star Wars characters, Beanie Boos, games, mini cars….the list goes on and on!!! These were the toys that my son would leave littered all over the floor every single day. And these were the toys that I would PICK UP every single day! They needed a home, so I decided to make one! I liked the look of crates and found a few options in local stores, but I could build the same thing for a fraction of the cost, so I did!
