Cookie Auction | Raising money with holiday spirit

It’s a new kind of cookie exchange! This holiday season consider doing a cookie auction with your workplace and donate the proceeds to good cause. One of my favourite charities is Holiday Helpers. Last year they raised enough funds to give 382 families a fully decorated tree, grocery cards for a turkey dinner, and customized holiday gifts for each member of the family!

Hang your Christmas stockings: No Mantel Required

When we moved into our current house, I realized we’d have to be creative when it came to Christmas since any sign of the 1920s chimney and mantel had long since been renovated away. This year, rather than hanging them on the bannister with our Christmas cards, I made this simple, rustic hanger to show off our handmade stockings.

Mini Mud Room

In our hallway, right next to our front door, is a tiny nook which usually looks like a shoe graveyard. What a perfect little spot to make a small mudroom for my small mud monster Liam. A place where he can get dressed to go outside and keep his shoes, backpack, coats, hats and gloves. Just in time for winter!
