Onesie Wall Decor

Yes, I’m one of those people. Unless it’s stained, has holes in it, or I just didn’t like it, I have pretty much every piece of baby clothing that my boys ever wore in overstuffed bins under every bed in our house. Despite my initial horror (and, funny enough, my husband’s too) of taking scissors to a gorgeous onesie, I figured sentimental pieces are best suited to hanging on a wall vs. sitting in a bin under the bed.  So this is what I came up with.

Ah Pinterest, how would I survive without you?  Pinterest is now my go-to site when I’m looking for creative inspiration, a recipe or how to D.I.Y almost anything.  Unfortunately, with the popularity of Pinterest and the sheer number of pins out there, it’s hard to know whether some of those pretty pictures lead to quality information, or pipe dreams.  Here’s a round-up of ideas I found on Pinterest that I have actually tried and would recommend.

DIY Gold Lace Vase

I completely recognize that gold and silver take turns being the ‘metal of choice’ in the design world…but for the time being, I am totally enamoured with all things gold + brass.

That said, I don’t want to necessarily invest in lots of expensive gold decor for my house knowing that I might want to change it up again down the road.

This DIY gold lace vase was not only easy and quick to do, but cost me less than $10. And hasn’t left my brass+glass coffee table (found at a salvage store for $25!) since I finished it…
