It all started with an old mirror that had been hanging around in my basement patiently awaiting my inspiration to arise. And it eventually did. I was getting tired of the loose pens, coupons and overflowing pinboard in my kitchen and the frame of this mirror was the perfect size to create something new.

My 8 year old daughter was “dying” for a Barbie house. She has had two different ones over the years, but they were not great quality and didn’t last long. I decided to make a sturdy wooden Barbie house that we can keep and hopefully pass on to other kids in our family.

I keep using my t-shirt to wipe my cell phone screen and clean my glasses, so I decided to use my t-shirt scraps (those left over from cutting up t-shirts for pillows and underwear) to create some special little screen cleaners.

A few weeks back, one of the local schools was doing a clean out of their old stuff, and I found this amazing desk – free for the taking! The desk was pretty scratched up and covered with pencil scribbles. It had a wobbly leg too, but I had a vision for it.
