Stair Rejuvenation | DIY Living

Gail had recently updated her house, but the stairs were still timeworn and tired. They considered the options – a carpet runner, replacing the risers, etc., but what they really wanted was a modern look that was also functional and easy to clean. So she took on the DIY challenge and decided to redo the stairs herself. And she nailed it! Her stairs have gone from old and worn to clean and modern in only three days time.

Twiggy Flower Power | Backyard Decor

Here’s a fun and easy way to jazz up your backyard patio. I saw this at a flower store and knew it would be one of those hugely rewarding, super simple and cheap projects. Simply go twig hunting in the park with your kids. Chop up the twigs, build a nest, spray paint, and pop in a plant or flower (I added lavender). Enjoy!

Wall Gallery | DIY Decorating & Photo Display

Our master bedroom was in dire need of decor updating. When we moved into our house 2.5 years ago, I was 39 weeks pregnant with Robin. Needless to say, it was chaos for the first few months and now, over two years later, we are still slowly getting each room organized and decorated. With a new baby on the way, I was quite motivated to start crossing some projects off the list, including hanging more art and, in particular, more family photos. This gallery was a great way to fill up an empty wall, giving our room a more modern feel and satisfying my need to have more photography on display (even if my husband Kyle and I are the only ones to see it!).

Super Duper | Super Mario Birthday Party

My son Cole turned the big 5 last year, and for his birthday he wanted a Super Mario-themed party. There wasn’t much available out there commercially so, wanting to make it really special for him, I had to get creative and invent/repurpose some oldies but goodies.
