Feed the Birds | Kids’ Craft

It’s been so cold and icy lately that my kids have been going a bit bananas, waiting for slightly warmer temperatures so that they can go outside and play. We’ve been noticing that the poor birds have been flitting about, looking hungry and sad. My kids and I felt so bad for them that we decided to make some bird feeders – just to help them out a bit. Christmas Card Display

Every year I struggle to decide where to put Christmas cards. Our mantel is full of Christmassy stuff (see below) and they fall off there with a slight breeze. Every time someone walks by, there’s a massive Christmas card collapse. I researched a lot of options and looked at a lot of original ideas (also see below), but, upon looking through my “stuff” downstairs, I found this frame and decided to do a basic seasonal display. And I actually found 5 of these frames, so I can display more than 3 cards (so send me cards, friends)!

Santa and Rudolph | Kids’ Craft

Being the parent of a 6-year-old boy, we go through a TON of toilet paper. Faced with a stack of empty toilet paper rolls, I thought it would be great to re-use before I had to recycle. Christmas is coming and he and his friends wanted to make a seasonal craft. What better than Santa and Rudolph – smiling and happy that these toilet paper rolls are being put to good use.
