Spring has Sprung at The Motherboards!!

The Motherboards will now be posting new content every Tuesday. Check out exciting new crafts, d.i.y. projects, compilations of our favourite looks and ideas, and party inspirations. And they’re all simple enough that you can do them yourselves! Get motivated, dazzle your family and friends, and perhaps even show us a thing or two by submitting a project to be featured on our site.

Happy Boxing Day!

There are many theories about the origin of Boxing Day, most probably having their roots in the truth. Going back to ancient, pre-Christian Rome, Saturnalia was a celebration during which slave owners would switch roles with their slaves, giving them gifts and treating them well – although I don’t want to venture a guess as to what happened the rest of the year! Centuries later in Britain, the Feast of Saint Stephen on December 26 induced churches to place metal boxes outside to collect special offerings. Read more

What to submit?

Make sure you submit a photo or multiple photos of your project (keep each image under 2 MB please!) and a brief description. And be sure to include a line or two about yourself. We want to give credit where credit is due! All other information is up to you. You can share a complete step-by-step on how you produced your masterpiece or keep it short and sweet and leave it at a snapshot and a description.
