COWABUNGA! Ninja Turtles Birthday Party

My favourite DIY moment of the year remains my kid’s Bday. He gets so excited about our themes that it is well worth it. For #4: Ninja Turtles. It’s a great theme to work with as the turtle face lends itself to so many applications and the color scheme is easy and festive (green, blue, purple, red, orange).

First Birthday Party | Teddy Bear Picnic

As my little guy’s first birthday approached and my maternity leave wound to a close, I found myself busier than ever. And since I’m not really the type to go out and buy a party in a bag (although I’m sure it’s awfully convenient), I picked a theme that would let me decorate with things I already had around the house, and then get crafty with a few key items to help set the scene.

At the Pond | 1st BirthDay party

My son’s 1st birthday party was in 2011 and it was my first kid’s party. There were a few babes but mainly family (adults). What kid does not like ducks and frogs? That’s right. No kid. So off to the pond we went.
