Cleaning up the toys! | Toy Storage Ideas

After months of stepping on dollhouse furniture and lego pieces, my feet could no longer stand it! (no pun intended). Something had to be done. Our basement, which functions as our family/rec room and playroom, was a total disaster of toys. The cheap toy bins we had originally thought would be great for keeping things organized and tidy (back when it was just baby toys for one kid), just didn’t cut it anymore.

Make your own Caterpillar Family | Kid’s Crafts

Robin wasn’t feeling well so stayed home from camp a few weeks ago. By lunch time she was feeling good again (of course) and was looking for something to do to keep busy for the afternoon. I honestly can’t remember who came up with this idea, her or I, but either way we decided we wanted to make a family of caterpillars (maybe we saw a caterpillar outside or on T.V.?). This is an old-school craft that I can remember doing as a kid. I’m sure it’s all over the web, but here’s our take on it.

DIY Dollhouse

A Skirt for the Ages | Simple Sewing

My 2-year-old is suddenly all about skirts. Skirts, skirts, skirts! She needs a skirt to dance around the living room and she needs a skirt to play trains in.
